In this Webinar, Dr. John Norcross will present Changeology, a proven science of self-change. The evolution of psychotherapy and the science of behavior change call for integrative, evidence-based treatments tailored to the individual client and couple. Backed by 30 years of research, this workshop provides effective methods for adapting the treatment method and the therapy relationship to the patient’s stage of change. You will learn to rapidly assess the stages of change (precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance) and then to match change catalysts specific to that stage. “Doing the right thing at the right time” is the key to efficient change.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
♦ Assess reliably a client’s stage within 1 minute
♦ Implement specific, research-supported change catalysts according to the stage of change
♦ Tailor your interpersonal relationship to the patient’s or couple’s stage
